PRESENTING BLAKFACTS VOL. 4: Ancient African Empires According to Wikipedia
Blakfacts Publications has just released its latest book, featuring the Kingdoms of Africa, from Cairo to Capetown. The book is divided into four sections featuring Kingdoms of the North, West African Empires, Central African Kingdoms and Southern Kingdoms.
It is said the " . . . peace will never return to Zimbabwe until all the plundered Zimbabwe Birds have been returned to their homeland." It is also said that those who do not know their history are destined to repeat it. This book is but the first in a series attempting to set the story of the children of Africa straight. In telling the story of African kingdoms and empires we experience some highlights in African history. The story of these kingdoms certainly does not tell the whole story, although they are extremely important in the overall scheme of things.
These stories must be told, as we now hear of the destruction of many of our ancient sites in Mali and other parts of Africa it is even more important that we learn the truth about our African heritage. This book not only outlines the story of African Kingdoms, north and south, it also reunites north Africa with the southern Africa. For years Africanists have divided Africa into those above the Sahara and that of Africa south of the Sahara in order to claim the accomplishments of North African kingdoms in the name of Europe and her offspring.
One of the supplemental books that is highly recommended is Blakfacts Volume 4.1: African Geography. This book will provide needed background information clarifying the nature of African geography and the effect of this geography on African history.
